Local address requirements

The address normally resolves only while connected to the compatible device’s network. If you are on the main router, mobile data or another WiFi network, the local page may not appear. This public guide does not relay or capture your device login.

Open the page correctly

Connect to the device WiFi, disable mobile data and type the address into the browser address bar. Do not search it. If it fails, check the network’s displayed gateway and use the manufacturer’s official setup app if the model requires one.

Complete initial setup

Select the main router SSID, enter its WiFi password and choose an extended-network name. Create a new admin password where prompted. Allow the device to restart fully before reconnecting to the newly configured network.

Fix redirect or timeout problems

Use a private tab, disable VPN/proxy services and try a second browser. Stay connected when a phone warns that the setup network has no internet. Restart the extender before considering a factory reset.

Protect the local interface

Change default credentials, use supported WPA2/WPA3 security and install firmware only from the official product page for the exact hardware revision. Never provide local credentials to an unrelated website.

Choose the documented method

Different product generations can use a local domain, numeric gateway or mobile app. If wifi.wavlink.com is absent from the official documentation, use the method provided for your exact model.

Check access again after configuration

After the extender joins the router, its management address can change. Reconnect to the configured extended network, try the documented hostname and then inspect the current gateway or router client list. In Access Point mode, the main router commonly assigns a new IP. Record that address or create a DHCP reservation rather than forcing the factory gateway. If the login page opens, verify the model and firmware before entering the administrator password. A public search result is never a substitute for the private device interface.
