Resolve an AP address change or PoE negotiation failure
- Test the main router or upstream Ethernet independently.
- Inspect the PoE link, injector direction, cable terminations and dry indoor power components.
- Connect locally and locate the device through its current gateway or the upstream router client list.
- Restart without erasing settings. Reset only when the local configuration cannot be recovered.
- Use firmware exclusively from the official page for WL-WN570HA2 and its hardware revision.
Validate active PoE and passive PoE as separate designs
Active PoE negotiates power with compliant equipment, while passive PoE applies a specified voltage without the same negotiation. Treat them as different installation methods. Check the label, switch standard and cable run before connecting anything; an RJ45 plug alone does not establish electrical compatibility.
After power is stable, verify the Ethernet link separately from the wireless configuration. The unit may advertise AC1200 radio rates while its 100 Mbps Ethernet port constrains a wired backhaul test. Explain this distinction to users so a result below the radio link rate is not misdiagnosed as defective firmware.
